Art Directing Team week 5

1. Surprise and insights of my strength from strength finder book
1. Learner 2. Connectedness 3. Includer  4. Archiver 5. Individualization

The attribute "Includer"is kind of one I didn't notice before. I was thinking I am just bing nice. But the root of my goal is include everyone to join and let them feel equal. I remembered when I was in elementary school, there was a girl has lower IQ. But I was trying my best to include her to play with my group of friends. I feel bad when other people make fun of her. And I think this attribute is alike "Connection".

I am a "Learner" which is totally making sense. It said I enjoy the process of learning itself. "The process, more than the content or the result, is especially exciting for you." But I am also a "Achiever". Are they contradict? At beginning, I do think so. But after think twice, I figured they both connected. I need to learn how to measure my own productivity and set challenging goals in order to feel fulfilled.

I need to know more about "Individualization".

2.What sort of mentor are currently influencing you? What sort of mentors do you think you should look to find (those in a particular career path or with particular strengths)?

The mentor who has a lot of life experience, tried things he wants to do bravely, and really good at multiple fields.

I want a mentor has his own purpose of life. He knows what he is born to be. He has a big influence not only in his professional filed, but all others. Especially who successfully opened his company, and also has a lot of freedom to do other things. Particular strengths such as communication, vision and communication skills are the ones I want to improve.

3. “Everything changes and nothing stands still.”- Heraclitus, As quoted by Plato in Cratylus

As Heraclitus alluded to centuries ago, change is the only constant. This is as true now as it was in 500 BCE but perhaps even more so today is the complexity and the pace of change that organizations and individuals are having to deal with is so accelerated. In fact, change is more than constant, it is ubiquitous and palpable. In business, companies used to be able to compete by optimizing operations and getting more efficient, but now advantages gained from efficiency are becoming the norm in every industry, and to compete it is necessary to innovate and evolve. So how can you go about change and adapting in your current environment to grow?
