THE LITTLE BOY AND THE OLD MAN
Said the little boy, “Sometimes I drop my spoon.”
Said the little old man, “ I do that too.”
The little boy whispered, “ I wet my pants.”
“ I do that too,” laughed the little old man.
Said the little boy, “ I often cry.”
The old man nodded, “ So do I.”
“Grown-ups don't pay attention to me.”
And he fell the warmth of a wrinkled old hand.
“ I know what you mean,” said the little old man.

小孩与老人
小孩说道：“有时我会掉汤匙。”
老人道：“我也常如此。”
小孩（附耳）悄声道；“我还尿湿裤子。”
老人拍掌哈哈笑，“我也颇相似。”
小孩又说：“我常哭。”
老人点头，“我可不也是。”
“但最糟糕的却是” 小孩说，
“好像大人们根本不注意我的事。”
老人伸出温暖但起茧的老手
“我完全明白你的意思。”
